The News Publishers’ Association is pleased to announce that TVNZ has joined the Association as an associate member, further strengthening industry collaboration and representation across New Zealand’s news media sector.
The NPA has recently introduced the associate membership to enable a broader range of news publishers and news producing organisations to contribute to a stronger collective voice for trusted journalism in Aotearoa.
As New Zealand’s media landscape continues to evolve, and with significant commercial, regulatory and public policy issues facing the sector, the NPA remains focused on bringing news organisations together to advocate for the sustainability and importance of quality journalism.
Industry-wide collaboration
NPA chair Grant McKenzie says TVNZ’s membership reflects the value of industry-wide collaboration.
“New Zealand’s news organisations face many common challenges. We are pleased to welcome TVNZ to the NPA and look forward to working together to support a sustainable and thriving future for trusted journalism.”
NPA general manager Brook Cameron adds TVNZ’s membership further strengthens the Association’s ability to represent and support New Zealand’s news sector.
“TVNZ is one of New Zealand’s most significant news providers and plays an important role in informing New Zealanders every day. Its membership reflects the NPA’s commitment to broadening participation across the news media sector and building a stronger, more representative voice for journalism.

Trusted journalism
TVNZ chief content and news officer Nadia Tolich says the media company is pleased to join the NPA.
