It has been more than a month since Kevin Durant made his trade request. Despite serious interest from multiple teams, no deal has materialized and the two-time NBA champion remains with the Nets.
Brooklyn has reportedly set a steep asking price which is too much for most teams. Moreover, for a trade to be completed a third or even a fourth team might be needed. That further complicates the situation.
According Ian Begley of SNY, there is pessimism about finding a third team that could help facilitate the trade. There some reports in the past suggesting that the Nets are using high asking price as a way to keep Durant in Brooklyn after no deal is reached.
