The International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Friday ordered Israel to “immediately” halt its assault on Rafah in the south of Gaza, largely granting an order South Africa had sought on 10 May.
The court did not order Israel’s military out of the entire Gaza Strip, as SA asked when its request saw oral argument last week.
The order passed by 13 votes to 2.
