Eighty-eight families have been trapped by floodwater in Oudtshoorn.
The Oudtshoorn municipality said that a residential area behind the Calitzdorp spa had been cut off by flooding, following heavy rains in the province.
“Gift of the Givers is delivering food parcels that will be able to last them for approximately three days,” said the acting manager of Fire Rescue and Disaster Management Services, Morne Thysse.
