Vice President William Ruto is leading the Presidential elections in Kenya.
Official results are yet to be announced.
But results compiled local media show Raila Odinga and Ruto running neck to neck.
Results published by Daily Nation, one of Kenya’s highest circulation newspapers, had Ruto leading with 51% and Odinga with 48%.
The results monitored by African Entertainment on Daily Nation show the other two candidates — George Wajackoyah and David Waihiga — had not managed to get past 1%.
Meanwhile, in a Tweet sighted by www.africanentertainment.com, Odinga’s running mate Martha Karua appealed to supporters to remain calm.
Ruto has already stated on Tuesday that he was confident of victory and called on Kenyans to remain calm during the whole electioneering period.
