Fears FBI raid on Trump residence was ‘politically motivated’

There are fears the FBI raid on former US president Donald Trump’s home was “politically motivated” with calls for greater “transparency”.

American Principles Project Executive Director Terry Schilling said if the FBI carries out an operation on a former president, it needs to be “completely transparent with the American people”.

“If nothing comes out here, there is going to be investigations by Republicans when they take office,” he told Sky News Australia.

“And there will be firings, there will be criminal prosecutions – they’re not thinking long term.”
