Millwall have signed Reading winger Femi Azeez on what the Championship club call a “long-term deal”.
The Lions have not disclosed the exact length of contract that the 23-year-old has put pen to paper on.
Millwall agreed a deal that was in the region of £1million for Azeez, who travelled to South London today to complete a medical.
He has taken the number 11 squad number and is available for Saturday’s league match at Hull City.
Azeez scored eight goals and collected nine assists last season.
He had missed the Royals’ opening two fixtures with boss Ruben Selles saying a back injury kept him out but he did come on as a substitute at the weekend.
Millwall director of football Steve Gallen said: “Femi is a target we have been working on for a number of months.
“We’re really pleased to bring him in after watching him numerous times last season where he really impressed.
“He’s quick, dynamic, he takes players on, gets crosses into the box and loves to score a goal. He’s played in a good, young, Reading side and is the exact type of signing we want to bring in to the football club.
“His tally for goals and assists in League One were impressive and I wish him the very best with us here at Millwall”.
