AFC Wimbledon have announced they have signed former Cardiff and West Brom midfielder Romaine Sawyers on a one-month deal.-
The 33-year-old – capped 49 times by Saint Kitts and Nevis – was a free agent after leaving Cardiff City last summer.
Wimbledon were in the market for a free agent midfielder due to Jake Reeves, Callum Maycock, James Ball and Myles Hippolyte all currently missing through injury.
Centre-back Riley Harbottle played in the middle for their 2-2 draw with Newport on Tuesday evening.
Johnnie Jackson said: “Romaine is a vastly experienced international midfielder who has played at a high level throughout his career. He is fit and eager to come in and help us short-term through this congested fixture schedule over Christmas and new year.”
Director of football Craig Cope, said: “We are delighted to welcome a player of Romaine’s calibre to the group to bolster our midfield options. We are confident that his quality and presence will add great value to the squad.”
