Vanilla Ice is back in the top spot after beer campaign recognised by Best Ads

‘Ice Ice Baby’ hit number one in the world back in 1990, and now Vanilla Ice is back in the number one spot with the Export Ultra Cold Call Back Service on BestAds.com.

Every summer in New Zealand, millions of beers are put in freezers for a quick chill, only to be forgotten about and left to explode – we know the feeling of finding frozen exploded beers all too well, and it ain’t nice.

So Vanilla Ice was on the scene all summer long, to call each and every New Zealander who put their beers in the freezer, with a reminder to get them out before they explode. To trigger the reminder, all Kiwis had to do was text ‘ICE ICE’ to 423 and 34 minutes later, the Iceman himself would call them back.

Perfectly chill beer

It’s just been recognised as Best in the World by Best Ads.

Best Ads adjudicator Pathida Akkarajindanon, ECD of Wolf BKK says, “This campaign is crazily hilarious! The idea of saving beer before it blows up is mind-blowing. It’s incredibly easy to engage, and bringing Vanilla Ice on board is absolutely brilliant!”

She adds, “I can foresee people engaging with this more than once, just to see what new, quirky reminders he comes up with. This is the amazing solution for New Zealanders to chill-out with their perfectly chill beer”.
