I feel fabulous, and now I’m in films – South London News

By Sarah Tettah

Vanessa Feltz is turning a new corner in her career with exciting movie roles – one with Peter Andre’s Jafaican director Fredi Nwaka, a hot new Channel 5 show and now she’s looking sexier than ever as she embraces life.

The Power of a Woman Awards celebrated the incredible achievements of women, many of whom have come through adversity, to pave the way and become trailblazers for people in the community.

So no wonder Vanessa Feltz is a huge supporter of The Power Of A Woman Awards put on by film director and entrepreneur Fredi – to celebrate International Women’s Day.

Vanessa, who faced her own struggles after splitting from her unfaithful ex Ben Ofoedu, has shown grace and integrity as she has come back stronger, and more determined than ever to enjoy life with her family.

Now South London Press Showbiz has caught up with Vanessa on turning a new corner – and looking more fabulous than ever at 63.

When asked what it was like being sexier than ever now, she smiled and told us: “Thank you! I love that. Yes, I’m feeling fabulous and just enjoying life. So many exciting things are happening. I’m super excited about my Channel 5 show too. It’s such a fantastic night at the Power of A Woman Awards, I’m delighted to be here and celebrating all these wonderful women. Everyone looks fabulous. Congratulations Fredi on a fantastic ceremony.”

Love that Vanessa is adding more strings to her bow. Check her out venturing into movies, with a film coming out this year.

The Christmas film is called Jingle Hellz. Director Fredi told us: “It will be out Christmas this year. It stars Leon Robinson, from Cool Runnings, Vanessa Feltz is in it, Lauren Cofie. I wrote it, directed it and produced it.

“Jingle Hellz is a romantic comedy about a man whose got 15 kids, eight baby mamas, and he doesn’t believe that kids need anything in their lives other than toys and money and gifts. He finds that is not the case when one of them drops all the kids to his house on Christmas Eve.

This year The Power of a Woman Awards 2025, partnered with women’s health charity, the Pink Ribbon Foundation, with the important message that checking breasts can save lives.

The Power of A Woman awards was a huge success. Look out for the incredible Power of a Man Awards later this year to raise awareness of men’s mental health.

TV’s Sarah-Jane Crawford returned to South London to present a top award. South London star Sarah Jane Crawford’s sensational hair care brand Clean Curls was a main sponsor of the event.

The Hits Radio presenter and former X-Tra Factor host told South London Press: “It was hugely enriching to see women of colour winning and to hear shared stories of their successes despite the challenges they face.
