Live: Knights vs Warriors at Hunter Stadium
32′ Hastings loses kicking duties, Gagai still misses
The Knights lead three tries to one, but only 12-6 on the scoreboard as Jackson Hastings missed the first two kicks, then handed kicking duties over to Dane Gagai, who misses from the left wing.
In goes Marzhew for the Knights
Kurt Capewell looks laboured and he’s a target for the Knights’ attack as they spin it wide and Bradman Best attracts Dallin Watene-Zelezniak, leaving Greg Marzhew unmarked on the wing.
That comes off the back of an error by Jackson Ford in the middle of the field.
The Knights finally get the ball down
I thought Newcastle had missed out on another try as Kurt Capewell got across and manhandled Greg Marzhew, but the winger gets a ball off the ground back to Dane Gagai to dive over on the left.
That was a really close one and Gagai knew it, looking a little sheepish as the try is confirmed.

Looked like Marzhew was tackled, but he did technically keep the ball off the ground.
Tough pill to swallow for the Warriors, who had that Egan try chalked off earlier.
25′ Two tries go begging for the Knights
Bradman Best goes through on the left and passes inside to Jermaine McEwen, but Taine Tuaupiki is able to recover and tackle McEwen.
Then the Knights go right and Fletcher Hunt dummies instead of passing to an unmarked Dom Young, and Leka Halasima monsters Hunt in a ball-and-all tackle on the tryline.
Fletcher Hunt hits back for the Knights
The cross-field kick yields rewards for Newcastle as Kai Pearce-Paul bats the ball back for Fletcher Hunt to swoop and score after a little bobble.
Jackson Hastings can’t convert from out wide, so the Knights still trail 6-4.
Sydney bias?

Hi Peter,
Sorry I didn’t bring you the team lists before play in this one. I was busy blogging the other men’s game and keeping an eye on the Broncos-Roosters NRLW clash.
Here are the team lists:

20′ Egan slams it down for the Warriors but the bunker takes it off him
James Fisher-Harris attracts a couple of defenders and gets a quick play-the-ball. Jayden Brailey steps out and Wayde Egan isolates Dane Gagai in the line.
Gagai slams him down just short, and Egan promotes the ball.
On-field referee Grant Atkins says it’s a try, but the bunker steps in and takes it off the Warriors because Egan’s elbow hit the ground.
That is a really tough call on the Warriors but a great tackle by Gagai, who has a long chat with Atkins, with the referee asking for more respectful approaches from the Knights skipper.
Hasler laments ‘dumb’ game by Titans

Des Hasler is disappointed in his Gold Coast side for a woeful performance in the 21-20 loss to the Tigers, particularly in the second half.
“We bumble, we fumble, we throw balls over the sideline, we miss tackles,” he says of the team’s efforts after the break.
“Really disappointed with that performance. It was pretty dumb.
“We were in a position to win [the] game.”
12′ Wayde Egan is down
The Warriors hooker gets his ankle caught under a tackle from Phoenix Crossland, who’s penalised for a hip drop.
Adam Pompey dives in for the Warriors
A deft grubber in behind the line by Tanah Boyd exploits Dane Gagai being caught in the line and Adam Pompey dives in to ground the ball.
Kalyn Ponga is constantly caught up in the defensive line when he’s there, so it must be a gameplan from Adam O’Brien.
6′ Knights penalised for taking out DWZ
The Warriors kick across the field for Dallin Watene-Zelezniak and Greg Marzhew shamelessly leaps into his opposite number, wrapping him up in the air before he has a chance to catch the ball.
Fresh set for the Warriors on the Knights’ line.
3′ Marzhew leaves a try on the table
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak knocks on deep in the Warriors’ half and the Knights go left.
Fullback and captain Dane Gagai cuts out Bradman Best and leaves the ball out in front of an unmarked Greg Marzhew, but he can’t handle the sharp pass with the line at his mercy.
1′ Warriors kick us off in Newcastle
ADAM DOUEIHI WINS IT FOR THE TIGERS WITH A FIELD GOAL!!
The Tigers had a rotten set to get in position, with Jarome Luai almost breaking through for the game-winning try, but ultimately the pass comes back to Adam Doueihi to pot his first career field goal and win it for the Tigers.
Absolute scenes as Leichhardt Oval erupts in the Wests Tigers 100th game at their spiritual home.
“We were probably a bit lost at times. Looked a little bit clunky,” Doueihi tells Fox Sports.
“Really proud. I practice for these types of scenarios. to give the fans a win for turning up and staying loyal, it’s a good feeling.”
79′ Taylan May is trying to sell a crusher
Reagan Campbell-Gillard is penalised by the bunker as Taylan May adds a bit of mayo.
The Tigers find touch and will get within field-goal range.
Jeral Skelton has a double and we’re all locked up!
The Tigers finally move the ball around and Api Koroisau, Latu Fainu and Jarome Luai finally combine.
They create the overlap and Taylan May sends Jeral Skelton over on the left wing.
Adam Doueihi has a kick from the sideline to give the Tigers a lead with two minutes left.
But he pushes it across the face and it’s still 20-20.
75′ This is a bad game of football
Jarome Luai manages to manufacture a repeat set with a grubber after a full set on the Titans’ line that I’m pretty sure didn’t feature a single second pass off the ruck.
The Tigers are getting plenty of repeat sets, but not doing anything in attack.
73′ Tigers surely knocked that on
The Tigers are looking ragged and regather a kick from a ricochet, but I’m certain Alex Twal knocked on.
69′ Tigers can’t go anywhere
Needing to chance their arm to get up the other end, the Tigers just gained 18 metres in an utterly unenterprising set off their own tryline.
