The pair first met as teenagers and began dating some years later where their early romance played out on the E4 reality series.
Mackintosh later married rapper Professor Green in 2013, but the relationship ended in divorce three years later.
In 2016, she rekindled her relationship with Hugo, and the couple tied the knot in 2018. They went on to welcome two daughters, Sienna in 2020 and Aurelia in 2021.

Friends of the pair say they remain committed to co-parenting their two daughters and keeping family life as stable as possible, despite the breakdown of their marriage.
While the split was only made public this week, signs that all was not well had been quietly emerging for months.
Mackintosh has recently shared a series of reflective and often cryptic posts on social media, many of which centred on self-preservation and personal boundaries.
In one New Year post, she wrote that she was leaving behind “relationships that cost me” and “over-explaining my boundaries”, adding: “Not trusting my intuition,” “guilt for choosing myself” and “letting fear hold me back”.
She said 2026 would be the year of “calm, clarity and self-trust”.
In another message, she told followers she was ready to be “my own cheerleader”, expanding in a lengthy caption: “Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, I wanted to share some of the intentions I’m hoping to bring into 2026: *Protecting my nervous system like it matters (because it does).

“*Saying no sooner. Saying yes more slowly. *Choosing consistency over intensity.”
Adding: “*Building more of a connection with my audience. *Trusting myself without asking for permission. *Listening to my body, not overriding it. *Staying present instead of striving.
*Responding instead of reacting. *Staying present instead of worrying about things I can’t control. *Being my own cheerleader.”
In January, she added: “I am not shrinking, I am shredding,” as she described letting go of the emotional weight of others.
Last week, Mackintosh travelled alone to India for an Ayurveda wellness retreat designed to “heal” the nervous system, while Taylor was reportedly on a skiing holiday.
During her stay, she shared a number of introspective posts and was notably without her wedding ring.
“I didn’t expect it to break me open,” she wrote. “I came here for a reset. I didn’t realise how much I needed to feel.”
In another post, she reflected: “The silence is louder than you expect. When everything goes quiet… you meet yourself again.”

Describing the retreat, she added: “The rituals are deeply grounding. Warm oils. Water therapy. Being held, literally and emotionally.”
On Sunday, she shared a quote that read: “You don’t always have to know what comes next in your journey. Sometimes you just need to be where you are and know that it’s okay to be there.”
Mackintosh followed it with another: “And then the moon said to me, dear girl, it’s time to own your f***ing power.”

Meanwhile, Taylor has been noticeably absent from her social media feed.
The last time Mackintosh posted a photo featuring Taylor was on Boxing Day.

In a festive carousel shared with her followers, the opening image showed her holding hands with one of their daughters, with no mention of her husband in the caption.
Taylor didn’t appear until the ninth photo, smiling at the camera while Mackintosh looked away, the pair seated at a neatly laid dinner table with a child in each of their arms.
He has not posted himself since Christmas Day, after previously sharing frequent updates.
