Japan took bronze in the women’s team pursuit on Tuesday at the Milano Cortina Olympics, giving team leader Miho Takagi a milestone 10th Olympic medal.
Takagi, Ayano Sato and Hana Noake sped past the U.S. team in the bronze-medal match to take the last podium position. In the gold-medal skate, Canada prevailed over the Netherlands.
Skating for bronze, Japan led from start to finish over the U.S., finishing in a cool 2 minutes and 58.50 seconds, a full 3.5 seconds adrift of the U.S.
