Motion Sickness received the Grand Prix for Good and was named Independent Agency of the Year at the 2026 Spikes Asia Awards on March 12.
Throughout the night, Motion Sickness collected three Gold and two Bronze Spikes. The wins span creative effectiveness, the award for change, brand experience and creative commerce.
The agency was also named the #3 Strategy & Effectiveness Agency of the Year in APAC.
Grand Prix for Good
“It’s a pretty surreal feeling for the team, ” says partner and general manager Alex McManus.
“Last year was huge for Motion Sickness, and it’s encouraging to see 2026 is showing no signs of slowing down. These awards help recognise this whole company’s incredible talent, our client partners’ trust and bravery. I think it also helps confirm that while we’re really great at herpes, we’re pretty great at other things too.”
The Grand Prix-winning Māori Roll Call campaign has become a widely recognised piece of work, helping drive national conversation around Māori electoral enrolment and representation.

Meanwhile Make New Zealand the Best Place in the World to Have Herpes continues to gain international attention for its bold approach to tackling stigma.
