A fire in hilly terrain in North Canterbury is contained, says Fire and Emergency (FENZ).
Crews left the area just after 6pm Monday, and no change is expected overnight, a FENZ spokesperson said.
After a detailed assessment, the area of the fire has been revised again to 140ha, FENZ said.
A crew is due back at the fire at first light on Tuesday.
