“By the Lake” by Photographer Tommy Keith

A series based on the daily walks of Toronto-based photographer Tommy Keith. Keith takes photos of people and places close to where he lives, and his projects often involve returning to the same areas over extended periods of time. “By the Lake” charts Keith’s regular route around his home:

“I walk the same route almost every time, from my apartment near Jameson Ave to the white bridge where 50 Cent filmed his music video ‘God Gave Me Style.’ I make detours and excursions along the way, to all the hidden pockets where people carve out their own space away from the city.”
