Auckland indoor ski area Snowplanet and commercial solar company Sunergise have launched a billboard campaign for their renewable energy partnership.
The billboards carry the message: Snowplanet. Now with solar powder.
The line highlights the role sunshine now plays in keeping Snowplanet’s indoor snow slopes skiable throughout the year.
Support sustainability goals
Positioned to reach commuters travelling through Auckland towards Snowplanet in Silverdale, the billboards draw attention to the 1.05-megawatt Sunergise solar installation on the hillside beside Snowplanet.
Utilising the Sunergise SunPlus model, the system reduces Snowplanet’s reliance on grid electricity by approximately 30%, helping reduce the facility’s operating costs and carbon footprint without requiring any upfront capital from Snowplanet.
Through the ‘Now with solar powder’ campaign, Sunergise aims to encourage more New Zealand businesses to consider how onsite solar could reduce their energy costs, lower their dependence on the grid and support their sustainability goals.
