The Comms Council has announced the graduation of its 2026 Foundations of Advertising & Media cohort.
The practitioners completed the course with a series of outstanding final presentations, says the organisation.
Over three intensive days, the early-career practitioners learnt everything from industry fundamentals and organisational structures through to client relationship management, brand theory and creative brief development. The course provided a foundation that extends beyond their immediate agency context.
Real industry perspective
The practical exercises, case studies and agency visits gave real industry perspective and allowed the practitioners to explore how creative and media agencies operate and deepened their understanding of the client’s perspective, says Comms Council.
Two weeks later, the practitioners had to put everything they’d learned into practice. The Final Presentation Night showcased not only what they had learned, but how ready they were to apply it in their agencies.
“Well done on the hard work, collaboration and energy that was brought to the room by every single one of them. We’re genuinely excited to see what they all do next,” Comms Council adds.
The Comms Council would like to thank AUT for being a course partner, as well as Dan Fastnedge, Advertising and Brand Creativity Lecturer at AUT, for helping to facilitate and deliver the course. The council also thanks all the industry experts who gave up their time to present over the three days.
