Sylvester Stallone has denied destroying “marital assets” amid his pending divorce with estranged-wife Jennifer Flavin.
Flavin, 54, filed for divorce from her husband of 25 years on August 19, claiming their relationship was “irretrievably broken”.
Now Stallone, 76, is denying one of her claims, that he “engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets” upon their split.
In documents seen by People, Stallone’s legal team wrote that he “has not engaged” in that type of behaviour.

The actor also opposed Flavin’s request to have “exclusive use” of their Palm Beach home.
Flavin requested in her filing that the court note how the “conduct of each party” could potentially lengthen the process, and asked the court to encourage “mutual cooperation” to “reduce the cost”.
Stallone’s response? He notes that his wife “hired counsel to represent her and agreed to pay them their legal fees.”
Per People, Stallone did not oppose Flavin’s request to “restore” her maiden name and agreed that their union is “irretrievably broken.”

In her announcement last week, Flavin, a model and business owner, shared a sombre message to fans.
“I’m sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone,” she wrote in a statement to People.
“While we will no longer be married, I will always cherish the more than 30-year relationship that we shared, and I know we are both committed to our beautiful daughters.”

According to TMZ, the couple reportedly split after they fought over buying a new dog. The outlet claimed Stallone wanted to buy a new Rottweiler for “protection for their family”. Flavin apparently opposed the idea, but the actor got the dog anyway.
It was their supposed “heated argument” over the dog that “brought up other issues” in their marriage that allegedly sparked Flavin to file for divorce.
The Rocky actor later denied these comments in his own statement to TMZ.
“We did not end the relationship on such a trivial argument,” he said. “We just went in different directions.”
