The Utah Jazz rebuild is in full swing following their trade of NBA All-Star Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers. That was just the latest move in what has been a very busy offseason in Salt Lake City as the Jazz have their sights set on the future.
Earlier in the offseason, they traded their best perimeter defender in Royce O’Neale to the Brooklyn Nets. That led to an incredible segment on ESPN by Brian Windhorst questioning exactly what their motive was and that there would almost assuredly be more moves on the horizon.
Windhorst was 100 percent right. Rudy Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves not too long after that for a package of five players, four first-round draft picks and one pick swap. One of the players acquired in that deal, Patrick Beverley, has already been flipped to the Los Angeles Lakers.
In the Mitchell deal, the Jazz acquired Lauri Markkanen, Collin Sexton, Ochai Agbaji, three unprotected first-round picks and two more pick swaps. They are set up well for the future, stockpiling picks at a rate that even the Oklahoma City Thunder would be impressed by.
LATEST NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Bojan Bogdanovic & Utah Jazz Updates
The trades likely aren’t finished, as Utah has plenty of more veterans that could be on the move. One of the most sought-after ones is Bojan Bogdanovic. The high-scoring forward is a sniper from long range, capable of creating some offense from the forward position.
On an expiring contract, contending teams will likely line up to acquire him before training camp gets underway. Who could be the best options? Here are three potential destinations for Bogdanovic to land.
