A baby is fighting for life and a woman has been injured after being hit by a car on the Gold Coast.
The 60-year-old woman was pushing the baby in a pram when they were both struck by a Toyota Corolla travelling along River Run Court near the intersection with Oakover Avenue shortly before 6pm on Wednesday.
The infant was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The woman also suffered injuries and was taken to hospital.
Police say the driver of the Toyota Corolla, a 26-year-old Ormeau Hills woman, stopped at the scene and is assisting officers.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
