The dissatisfaction is due to the opening of a Bulgarian club
“Bulgarians, Tatars and fascists” were chanting in front of the building in Ohrid, where the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris III” was officially opened, wrote BGNES yesterday. Eggs and stones flew against the building. Some of the protesters had posters with inscriptions against Bulgaria and appeals against the European Union, which supported the “fascist demands of Bulgaria”.
The protest was officially supported personally by the leader of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE, Hristiyan Mitskoski, who called for “mass participation in the protest against the opening of the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris III”.
Dimitar Apasiev’s pro-Russian formation “Levitsa” joined the calls. Mickoski and Apasiev were the main organizers of the protests against the French proposal to start negotiations for the RNM’s membership in the EU this summer. During the protests, there were vulgar and offensive qualifications both against Bulgaria and against the entire EU, and in particular against France, wrote BGNES.
“We are not any kind of fascist, Nazi or neo-Nazi movement, as they accuse us. If there was such a thing, the court would not have registered the association. Therefore, I call on the citizens to think positively and see what is really being done”, said Time Blazhevski – chairman of the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris III”.
“We decided to create the association after the signing of the Good Neighbor Agreement between Bulgaria and the Republic of North Macedonia, with which we want to contribute to the improvement of relations, to build bridges and bring people closer together, to avoid scandals and provocations. But almost a year after the registration of our association, everything turned upside down”, said Blazhevski.
Hours before the opening of the club in Ohrid, the MP from VMRO-DPMNE and a member of the leadership of this party, Antonio Miloshoski, announced that today he will personally submit to the National Assembly a “draft law” prohibiting the creation and registration of associations that have a direct connection with the Third Reich and the fascist regime”.
Last week, during the football match in Skopje between the national teams of Bulgaria and RNM, the Bulgarian national anthem was whistled and insulting chants against the winner of the match, Bulgaria, could be heard from the stands.
