Just when you think that things can’t get any crazier, somehow they do. We live at a time when the thin veneer of civilization that we all once took for granted is rapidly disintegrating all around us. Some people still behave rationally, but a lot of people don’t. Decades ago, the lunatics were an extremely small minority on the fringes of society, but today there are countless lunatics that are actually in positions of power. Just look at some of the mayors that our major cities have been electing recently. What we are witnessing would be funny if it was the plot of a Hollywood comedy, but since it is real life that we are talking about what we are witnessing is extremely tragic. What is considered to be “normal” is being turned upside down in hundreds of different ways, and our entire society is descending into a state of constant chaos.
When I was growing up, there is no way that Lindsay Clancy would have been considered a national hero by millions of Americans.
In those days, they would have locked her up and thrown away the key.
But in 2026, killing her three children has made her an instant celebrity.
Just a few hours ago, her lawyer went on Good Morning America and suggested that President Trump should pardon her…
Lindsay Clancy’s outspoken lawyer, Kevin Reddington, directly appealed to President Trump early Tuesday to pardon the killer mom.
“Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady – the type of person she is and what she’s been through – and consider a pardon,” he told “Good Morning America” when asked what was next for Clancy after her high-profile case ended in a mistrial Friday.
The veteran 75-year-old lawyer made no mention of how he expected Trump to get involved, given that Clancy is only facing state charges, which presidents have no power to pardon. He also did not say if he hoped such unprecedented intervention would stop a second trial or save the killer if she were convicted.
Are you kidding me?
When I saw the footage of this interview, I was absolutely flabbergasted.
What would cause him to believe that President Trump would ever do such a thing?
And since he has been practicing law for decades, shouldn’t he understand that the president cannot pardon someone for a state crime?
That guy is just crazy.

Of course there have been other women that have followed Lindsay Clancy’s example since her case started receiving national attention.
I think that it would be better for our country if such cases were resolved very quietly.
Let me shift gears and discuss another chaotic story that has been in the news.

Well, now we have the whole story.
The mainstream media doesn’t seem to want to talk about this, but the reason why the unruly passenger was duct-taped to a chair was because he had violently assaulted bestselling author Jonathan Cahn…
The mystery passenger at the center of the viral American Airlines Flight 618 incident has been identified as #1 New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn.
As Charisma previously reported, the Dallas-Fort Worth-to-Newark flight was diverted to Baltimore Sept. 3 after passenger Arthur Lundeen, 67, allegedly became disruptive and violent. Lundeen was ultimately restrained with duct tape and zip ties before being arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree assault. But amid the viral reports of yelling, chaos and an outburst involving Jesus and hell, one central figure remained unidentified: the passenger seated directly beside him.
Now, Cahn says that passenger was him.
“I was the unidentified passenger,” Cahn reveals. “And I was actually attacked 30,000 ft in the sky. I was attacked on that plane.”
This incident could have been so much worse.

Our modern reality is just so messed up.
Every day I come across news stories that would have been unthinkable decades ago.
For example, we are about to observe the 25th anniversary of 9/11, and the Girl Scouts are now giving out awards and patches for practicing Islam…
Girl Scouts can now earn awards for learning about Islam, practicing Muslim traditions and even introducing non-Muslim friends to Islamic practices.
The National Islamic Committee on Girl Scouting has developed four religious awards for Muslim Girl Scouts. The medals themselves bear the words, “GIRL SCOUT OF THE ISLAMIC FAITH.”
They are named “Bismillah,” “In the Name of Allah,” “Qurat ul A’in” and “Muslimeen.” According to the committee, the awards emphasize the “theory and practice of Islam.”
Other Islamic programs available to Girl Scouts include patches connected with Ramadan and special times of prayer. The National Islamic Committee on Girl Scouting even offers a Hajj patch and “Hajj Passport” for learning about the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca.
What in the world has happened to the Girl Scouts?
When I was a kid, it was such a respected organization.

Torrential rain pounded central Japan on Tuesday, prompting an emergency flood warning for a major river in the region, as roads, railway tracks and other infrastructure were inundated, and local authorities urged residents in some areas to immediately seek safety.
The Japan Meteorological Agency issued its highest flood warning, Level 5, for the Shonai River, which flows through Gifu and Aichi prefectures. About 104 millimeters of rain fell in an hour in Nagoya under the influence of an autumn rain front.
The city government called on residents in parts of Chikusa, Moriyama and Meito wards to take immediate action to ensure their safety.

On the other side of the Pacific Ocean, Hurricane Marie has been pummeling the California coast with enormous waves, and a massive 30 foot by 30 foot sinkhole just appeared right in the middle of Nicolas Cage’s driveway…
Nicolas Cage’s Malibu mansion has been rocked by a massive sinkhole that has swallowed the beachfront home’s driveway.
Photos of the destruction show the once-palatial property sitting on the edge of a massive crater that has taken down the driveway, a portion of the adjacent street and a portable restroom.
The luxurious residence, which Cage purchased for $10.5 million in 2024, has now been sectioned off with various orange construction cones.
Unfortunately, I think that the weather is only going to get crazier in the months ahead.
Of course the same thing could be said about the major military conflicts that are raging in the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
The Russians have greatly escalated the bombing of Ukraine, and now they have suddenly decided to close Germany’s consulate in St. Petersburg…
More tit-for-tat between Russia and Germany amid a deepening diplomatic freeze related to the Ukraine war: the Kremlin announced on Monday that it is closing Germany’s consulate in St. Petersburg, with operations ordered to by suspended by September 18.
“It was the German authorities who, once again, provoked a new round of escalation in bilateral relations,” the Foreign Ministry stated, charging that Berlin “bears full and complete responsibility” for the consequences.
Relations between Russia and Germany haven’t been this bad since the end of World War II.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is normally very careful with his words, but even he is saying that what we are witnessing is “the start of a real war” with Germany…
The strongest words out of Moscow have come from Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov this weekend. While the US delegation of Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff were in Russia for a 3-hour meeting with President Putin, he said that a “real war” between Russia and the West is emerging.
He asserted to a Russian state TV reporter: “This is, by and large, the start of a real war. They expelled the consulate general from Bonn. They’re closing the Russian House in Berlin. I remember that before the start of the Second World War… They want war again.”
In the Middle East, there have been some significant developments just within the past few hours.
First of all, the IRGC has announced that it has captured a very advanced unmanned submarine that the U.S. was operating near the Strait of Hormuz…
Iran on Tuesday claimed that its Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy had captured an advanced unmanned American submarine near the entrance of the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz, adding another dramatic dimension to the months-long conflict in West Asia.
According to a statement broadcast by Iranian state television, the IRGC said its naval forces intercepted the US military vessel at dawn during what it described as a “complex intelligence and operational action.” Tehran claimed the submarine was among the most modern unmanned and autonomous underwater systems operated by the United States.
That is very alarming, because that could potentially give the Iranians access to sophisticated technology that they do not currently possess.
Secondly, Fox News is reporting that the U.S. military is conducting a new round of airstrikes near Kharg Island…
An Iranian response is coming.
There should be very little doubt about that.
So it appears that another round of fighting has erupted.
We live at a time when we are constantly being bombarded by one crisis after another.
Continual chaos has become our “new normal”, and I don’t expect that to change any time soon.
