Viewers have taken to Twitter to voice their concern over Richard Madeley’s absence from ITV’s Good Morning Britian. Richard, 65, has been missing from our screens these past couple of day – which has left many fans of the presenter’s fans confused.
One fan took to Twitter to ask why he isn’t on, as they said: “What’s happened @richardm56 on #GMB? You not on anymore? Oh btw when’s you’re new book coming out!” whilst another simply wrote: “Bring @richardm56 back on #gmb.”
Richard has been missing from all the episodes that have been airing this week. Money Saving Expert, Martin Lewis stepped in for Richard on both Monday (March 21), and Tuesday (March 22). A few viewers have been impressed by the Martin and have seen asked him to become a permanent host on the morning show.

However, the 49-year-old financial journalist spoke out about how it would be impossible for him to take on another job due to his busy schedule. He said: “Many kind comments about me doing @GMB more permanently. Sadly the workload & hours mean its not compatible with my day job, so I can’t do more.
He added: “Shame, as I enjoy the challenge. Yet being the Money Saving Expert is m’calling & where I think I’ve most impact. I can’t risk that.” Wednesday’s show (March 23) saw Good Morning Britain regular Adil Ray joining Reid, 51, as co-anchor, whilst Ben Shephard presented today (March 25).
Richard is due back on Good Morning Britain next Monday (March 28), an ITV spokesperson has confirmed.
