Janes prioritizes innovation to support evolving customer requirements

The trusted global agency for open-source defense intelligence today announced the next phase in its evolution of product management and innovation excellence to drive enhanced decision support solutions. 

WASHINGTON DC (February 20, 2024) – Janes, the OSINT agency – today announced key management changes to provide even greater focus on product innovation to continue to support Janes customers’ evolving intelligence requirements. Ben Conklin will transition to the new role of Head of New Products and Innovation and will be responsible for spearheading Janes innovation program to ensure Janes remains at the leading edge of delivering foundational military intelligence solutions to customers.  

“Janes is in a unique position to deliver innovative and unique solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Conklin. “I am excited to be leading the next phase of our innovation strategy.”  

“There is no one better suited to driving innovation at Janes than Ben.” Blake Bartlett, CEO, Janes said, “His deep understanding of the challenges facing our customers, combined with his detailed knowledge of the application of Janes data and insight to users, their systems, and their workflows will be invaluable as we strive to better serve our customers’ evolving needs.” 

As a result of Conklin’s new role, Janes is also announcing the appointment of Maria Cornett Bertram as Chief Product Officer. Cornett Bertram will be responsible for all aspects of product management at Janes.  

“I am thrilled to be joining the team at Janes,” said Cornett Bertram. “This is an exciting opportunity to deliver Janes trusted open-source defense intelligence in new and innovative ways.” 

Cornett Bertram, has had a long career as a Chief Product Officer and Business Line leader in data, SaaS, and information businesses. Prior to joining Janes, Cornett Bertram led the Technology, Media & Telecommunications business line at S&P Global Market Intelligence, where she created organizational design, developed product roadmaps, and launched data and research products focused on fintech, metaverse and supply chain technology. 

Bartlett said, “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Maria Cornett Bertram as Chief Product Officer. She is an experienced leader who brings an extensive background in product leadership and deep knowledge of delivering solutions that meet customers’ needs. Welcome to the team, Maria.”
