Jen Affleck Raises Doubts About Zac Affleck’s Support Following Separation
Jen Affleck has expressed skepticism regarding the sincerity of her estranged husband, Zac Affleck, despite his public assertion of still being her “biggest fan.”
Social Media Exchange Unfolds
On November 5, Zac, 30, addressed the couple’s recent split in a candid TikTok post, prompting a quick response from Jen, 27. Shortly after Zac’s posting, Jen took to her own TikTok account, sharing a throwback video with the overlaying text, “POV: you’re two weeks postpartum trying to become an influencer.”
The clip featured Zac’s voice, commenting on Jen’s appearance, saying, “[I] hope you’re not making a TikTok looking like that,” followed by a blunt remark about her physical appearance.
Jen’s Response: A Subtle Retort
In a pointed caption accompanying her video, Jen stated, “He was never my biggest supporter,” seemingly referencing Zac’s earlier claims of wanting to be there for her during their marriage.
Zac had previously shared his feelings in his TikTok video, stating, “It sucks because I really do love Jen, and I still love Jen.” He reflected on the positive attributes that initially drew him to her, emphasizing her unique spirit and good heart.
Acknowledgment of Mistakes
Zac candidly admitted to his flaws during their relationship, stating, “I’ve made plenty of mistakes in our marriage,” and acknowledged that it was time for both parties to separate. He further revealed that he had attempted to salvage their union by promising to change and meet Jen’s needs, but ultimately, the relationship could not be reconciled.
Concern for Their Children
Amid their personal struggles, Zac expressed concern over the effect their divorce might have on their children. The couple shares three children: daughters Nora, 5, and Penny, 16 months, as well as son Luca, 3. Jen is also expecting their fourth child.
“I feel like I failed my kids, and I’m worried that I’m going to cause them damage,” Zac stated, emphasizing their mutual commitment to prioritizing their children’s well-being throughout this transition.
Legal Proceedings
On November 3, Jen filed for divorce after seven years of marriage, with Us Weekly confirming the submission of a proposed parenting plan the following day, the specifics of which remain confidential.
