Playing in a large market is supposed to be an advantage for an NBA team. The operative word there is “supposed”.
In recent years, we’ve seen hardship befall many big market teams. Perhaps that owes to the widespread popularity of the league, and the age of information.
Teams today are just more accessible. Perhaps that’s why the Los Angeles Lakers have struggled in recent years.
They won a championship in 2019-20, but since that moment, they’ve struggled to stay relevant.
At least they won that championship. That’s more than the Brooklyn Nets can say. This team hasn’t even come close to accomplishing that goal in recent years.
Could these two big market teams make a major trade this summer?
