Without a guiding light, how does one find their way? NBA teams need that guiding light, too.
Specifically, we’re talking about a player who can carry their offense. If you don’t have that elite star, you won’t find your way to title contention.
The Brooklyn Nets do not have that guiding light. This team is comprised of a deep cast of quality defensive players, but they don’t have an offensive star. They won’t play for the NBA championship until they get one.
By contrast, the New Orleans Pelicans have two. They’re just both young and injury-prone.
Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram are yet to give us evidence that they could compete for an NBA title as a duo.
Could the Nets acquire Ingram from them with that in mind?
