Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has urged his side to improve in both boxes after their 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Eberechi Eze thought he put Palace ahead before half-time when he stuck a low shot from inside the area past Neto, but VAR adjuddged Jean-Philippe Mateta to be offside during the build up and chalked the goal off.
Bournemouth sealed all three points in the 79th minute when Antoine Semenyo beat David Ozoh and crossed for Justin Kluvit, who took one touch and rifled an effort past Dean Henderson.
The Eagles are now winless in four Premier League outings and host Manchester City on Saturday.
“If you don’t score a goal, you can’t win,” said Glasner.
“We had enough situations where we could have had a finish or a good finish.
“But in the end, we had three shots. We have to blame ourselves for being more direct, to be more decisive in front of the opposition’s goal.
“It’s disappointing because, especially in the second half, we controlled the game.
“Their goal was the first shot in the second half. The players did it well between the boxes, but games as decided in the boxes.
“But in both boxes, we have to improve. Every tight decision was not on our side today, but it’s our job and responsibility to turn the tight decisions on our side.
“I have seen the players working and what they invest. Bournemouth are always dangerous at home and score many goals.
“We didn’t give them many chances after the goal.”
