A crash for Jordan Boys in the rebuilt Macauley Jones Commodore bought a slightly premature end to the final practice session ahead of the Bathurst 1000.
Boys ran slightly wide at Reid Park and slapped the outside wall, breaking the suspension on the front-right hand corner and buckling the right-rear wheel.
The his crew were up until 2am repairing the car after its crash in the closing stages of qualifying yesterday.
While they will not take part in this afternoon’s top-10 shootout, the Brad Jones Racing crew once again have a massive job ahead of them.
Meanwhile, Chaz Mostert set the fastest time of 2:05.51, about a tenth ahead of Shane van Gisbergen and Wil Davison.
The expected shootout practice laps didn’t happen because it’s expected to be wet this afternoon.
