Paid domestic violence leave could become a reality for Australian workers by next year.
Under one of the proposed 18 laws to be introduced in Parliament this week, more than 11 million Australian workers including casuals will have access to 10 days of paid domestic and family leave a year.
Employers would be allowed to accept the leave request – or ask for evidence, including police reports and medical certificates.
