A Qantas flight from Auckland due to land at Sydney Airport this afternoon has issued a mayday call.
Emergency services are on stand-by as a precaution with the plane reporting engine trouble.
QF144 left Auckland at 2.11pm and was due to arrive in Sydney at 3.25pm, local time.
Flight tracking website FlightRadar24 showed its departure was delayed by about an hour.
The Herald reported that the aircraft was expected to land safely.
