Remember the reports that said Kaizer Chiefs were meeting Jose Peseiro‘s representatives? It seems like a move to the DStv Premiership won’t be happening.
KAIZER CHIEFS TARGET JOSE PESEIRO TO JOIN CAMEROON?
According to Bola Na Rede, Peseiro is one of three targets Cameroon Federation president Samuel Eto’o has listed. The other two candidates are the legendary two-time Afcon champion Hervé Renard and the 2006 World Cup-winning captain of Italy Fabio Cannavaro.
José Peseiro may be close to returning to action. According to Record, the Portuguese coach is on Cameroon’s list to fill the role of coach. Peseiro is one of the three names considered by Samuel Eto’o, president of the Federation. The other two elements to be analysed are Hervé Renard and Fabio Cannavaro.
Still, the decision is not just up to the Cameroonian Football Federation, as the government also has a say and insists on the name of Marc Brys. José Peseiro is recently unemployed, after leaving Nigeria, with whom he reached the CAN 2023 final.

THE LATEST FROM KAIZER MOTAUNG JUNIOR
In the meantime, Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr, has confirmed big changes are coming next season.
“We communicated from the onset that Cavin would be there on an interim basis, and there will very much be a different technical structure next season,” the Amakhosi boss said via TimesLIVE.
“The plans have long been in motion … from our side we have been preparing for a while and at the appropriate time the club will make announcements. For us [Kaizer Chiefs] to achieve what we want to achieve is not just going to take one person (a head coach) or technical staff, it is going to take a lot of people, structures and elements that need to work, that haven’t been working for many years.
“We are very much cognisant of what needs to be done and what we have not got right in the past. We are focused on the future and want to make sure we make the right decisions,” the Kaizer Chiefs boss added.
