Rogbid has launched the Model R5, an advanced smartwatch designed to function as a full-featured Android phone instead of merely serving as a standard wearable companion. This device is equipped with a 2.4-inch AMOLED display and a built-in SIM card slot, enabling it to operate independently from a smartphone.
Specifications of the Rogbid Model R5
The Model R5 boasts a 2.4-inch display with a sharp resolution of 480 x 480 pixels, significantly larger than the typical smartwatch screens, which usually range from 1.2 to 1.5 inches. This expansive display enhances user interaction with the watch’s operating system, which runs a complete version of Android, allowing for the direct download and use of standard Android applications.
Under the hood, the Rogbid Model R5 is powered by a Unisoc W527 processor, accompanied by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. A dedicated SIM slot supports 4G LTE connectivity, compatible with both US and European bands. Additionally, the watch can easily switch to Bluetooth mode for pairing with a smartphone when standalone functionality is not needed.
In terms of hardware features, the R5 includes a 5-megapixel camera mounted on a hinge that can rotate 190 degrees, allowing for versatile use in photography and video calls. Users can position the camera either forward or outward for various applications, including QR code scanning.
