Sophomore Isabella Holpfer and Juniors Caroline Craig and Caterina Don all earned All-American Scholar honors by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or better.
Since this award started in 1986, 24 different Georgia golfers have received this award 44 times. Both Craig and Don earned it in their freshmen, sophomore and junior year. Holpfer has also made it in both of her first two years.
Holpfer finished top ten in two individual tournaments this year, placing sixth in the Illini Invitational and fifth at the Lady Bulldog Invitational. The journalism major finished seven different rounds with par-or-better performances.
Don, an Italy native, was one of the Lady Bulldogs’ best players last season, competing in every tournament last year. She finished the year with an average score of 73.61 and helped lead Georgia to fifth place in the NCAA Championships.
Craig has invested much time into her golf game and the Athens community. She finished last season with three top-20 finishes, a fourth-place finish at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite and was named to the SEC Community Service team for the second time in her collegiate career.
