Travel from Asia to Morocco with the new eVisa

Morocco is a beautiful country. From bustling cities to stunning deserts, Morocco has something for everyone.

Traveling to Morocco just got easier thanks to the introduction of an eVisa. This new visa is available 100% online, you don’t have to visit the Moroccan embassy.

The eVisa is available to travellers from most Asian countries. Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa or residence permit from a specified country to apply. Check the Morocco visa requirements to find out if you’re eligible to apply online.

In addition, COVID-19 entry restrictions to travel to Morocco were eased in May. You can now travel with a valid vaccine certificate or recent negative PCR test result. Make sure you check the latest restrictions before you depart.

Flights to Morocco

There are flights to Morocco from international airports across Asia. If departing from Thailand, you can get a flight to Casablanca or Marrakech from Bangkok with just one stop.

There are also non-direct flights to all the Moroccan destinations mentioned below from Singapore, the Philippines, and more.

You must check you have all the documents you need to travel to Morocco, this includes a valid passport and the relevant COVID-19 documents. You may also need a visa. Citizens of some Asian nations including the Philippines can travel without a visa for up to 90 days. Non-exempt visitors need a visa.

Tourist Destinations in Morocco

The electronic visa and reduced COVID-19 restrictions make Morocco an ideal destination this summer.

Morocco is a beautiful country in North Africa. It’s home to many cultures and religions. Visitors will find landscapes ranging from mountainous regions to sandy beaches, which makes for an interesting mix of terrains.

It’s a place where you can enjoy the sun, sand, and sea as well as many amazing cities. These are some of the most interesting places to visit in Morocco in 2022 with the new electronic visa.

Marrakesh

Marrakesh is the most visited city in Morocco and a must-visit during your stay in Morocco.

Marrakesh is an amazing place to visit if you’d like to see some beautiful scenery and soak up the sun—but that’s not all. Marrakesh is also a great option for nature lovers. There are mountains nearby with plenty of opportunities for hiking and biking offering gorgeous views.

If you love trying new foods when traveling abroad, then Marrakesh has something special in store: delicious street food. You can try authentic Moroccan dishes at Jemaa el-Fnaa square market. It is one of the top tourist attractions in Marrakech.

Fes

Fes is the third- argest city in Morocco and the oldest, Fes was established by Idris I in 789. Fes is of great cultural importance in Morocco, as well as its religious and spiritual significance.

Fes is vibrant and colourful with impressive architecture. The city became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.

Tourist highlights in Fes include Fes Medina, Bou Inania Madrasa, and Al-Attarine Madrasa.

Casablanca

Casablanca is the largest city in Morocco and a hub of commerce and finance. As a result, it’s a popular destination for tourists, expats, and business travelers.

The city has beautiful beaches that are good for swimming and kite surfing. In addition to its beaches, Casablanca also has landmarks such as Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest mosque in Africa.

Agadir

Agadir is a coastal city in southwestern Morocco. It’s known for its beaches and surfing, but there are also plenty of places to shop, eat and relax.

If you go to Agadir, be sure to check out museums such as the Musée de Patrimoine Amazigh d’Agadir, also known as Berber Museum. This interesting museum teaches visitors about the local Amazigh culture.

Also don’t miss out on going shopping at one of the many souks in Agadir—they have everything from clothes and ceramics to food.

Tangier

Tangier, a port city in northern Morocco, is the unofficial cultural capital for writers and artists from all over the world. The city is rich with culture, history, and architecture that come together to create an experience like no other.

An important seaside resort, this is an excellent choice in Morocco if you’re looking for great hotels and tourist infrastructure.

Traveller tips

These are just a few of the places to visit when on vacation in Morocco. There are many more interesting cities and natural attractions. Plan your trip carefully to make sure you don’t miss any of the top attractions.

If you plan to travel to Morocco in 2022, you are reminded to stay up to date with the latest visa and entry requirements. COVID-19 restrictions are subject to change at short notice.

You must make sure you find out the documents you need, depending on your nationality and the nature of your trip, and arrange all the required documents in advance.
