HERE’S HOW TO CREATE AN EPIC NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY FOR THE KIDS

New Year’s Eve is officially tomorrow! And, if you have kids and aren’t able to attend an adult party this year, don’t fret, there are things that you can do at home to ring in 2023 with fun and excitement for the entire family. According to the experts at Parents.com, here’s how to create an epic new year’s eve party for the kids.

Let Your Kids Pick Out Fun Outfits, and everyone play dress up

Let your kids pick out clothes from everyone’s closets and play dress up. Let them sparkle in formal wear, dress up like a rockstar, or even hop into that Halloween costume that they just put away a few months ago. You can even turn it into a contest to see who comes up with the best New Year’s Eve look.

Bake and decorate

Baking cookies and cakes isn’t just for Thanksgiving and Christmas, turn it into a New Year’s Eve tradition too. Let the kids bake until their hearts are content and then eat a few or more of their creations before bed. Make sure that share a few bites with mom and dad.

Countdown and craft

After baking, why not eat some of those cookies while you countdown and craft! Create things such as fun hats, noisemakers, confetti, etc. Have the kids make all of what you will need when it is time to say “Happy New Year!”

Say Cheeseeeeeeee

Set up a photo booth and “say cheese!” Taking photos is always fun, especially when it is with family. Have your kids take pictures in their creative costumes, with their baking creations, or even with their crafty creations. Upload photos to one of the many photo album sites and create something that will last a lifetime. Added bonus: you can break out your album from this year while you wait to ring in 2024 and have a fun moment reminiscing.

Make New Year’s Resolutions as a Family

Whether you use a vision board or simple pieces of paper in a notebook, make new year’s resolutions together as a family. Talk about what you wish for the new year to come, what didn’t quite work out so well in 2022, and craft a plan. Creating new goals together can be a positive way to embrace the unknown of what is to come.

However, there is a catch to the fun! And, you definitely want to hop on this new parenting trend. Start your celebrations early and countdown to “noon” instead of midnight. That way, if you want, when the kids have long called it a night just in time for bed, you can ring in the new year the adult way!
