TVET centre, SG Academy, recognises 265 students at its 9th graduation ceremony

• Graduating batch has an 85% employment rate on graduation
• Fields such as Drones, Creative Multimedia, Mechatronics, Computer Systems

SG Academy Sdn Bhd held its 9th Graduation Ceremony on 16th Jan in Kuala Lumpur. The ceremony was graced by Nurul Izzah, who presented the Malaysia Skills Diploma to the 265 graduates.

Nurul delivered a strong message in her welcoming remarks. “Be resilient and choose the right mentor to excel in your career path,” she advised. Representing a diverse range of industries in technical and vocational education and training (TVET), graduates have received a comprehensive education that has prepared them for the workforce and to excel in their chosen careers.

Sri Ganes, founder and CEO of SG Academy extended his congratulations to the graduates, and said, “TVET pathways are futile without a job placement or income generation initiatives such as gig economy or self-employment.  We are here to ensure they secure a job or at least to embark on income generation activities to ensure they stay relevant in the industry.”

• Diploma in Computer System: 68 – Employed 57
• Diploma in Culinary Arts: 47 – Employed 45
• Diploma in Mechatronic: 60 – Employed 49
• Diploma in Creative Multimedia: 53 – Employed 38
• Diploma in Food and Beverage:  7 – Employed 7
• Drone Certification Program: 30 – Employed 30

 In addition to the diploma presentation, the ceremony also featured on-the-spot hiring opportunities for the graduates with industry partners present at the event. The academy also announced a US$23,350 (RM100,000) scholarship for Yayasan Aman, which will be used to support students who wish to pursue Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia and Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia programs.
