Here is my experience after the last holiday about a homestay in Da Lat:
We are all office workers, so we are only free every Saturday and Sunday, but we still want to enjoy the moment of Dalat, so this trip to Da Lat we decided to choose an “indie” homestay located right at the foot of Prenn Pass. to be able to stay away from the crowd and also to hunt clouds without having to run far.
?? The homestay we chose is “Sun View Valley”, which I discovered by accident when I went to “Waiting for One” coffee last time. This home stay is located in the middle of the pass, so you can catch the whole view of the mountains and hills of Da Lat.
☁️☁️ Weather: For us, it is very difficult to get up 3-4 am to hunt clouds, so it is reasonable to hunt clouds right at the homestay ? Early in the morning, just wake up around 6-7 am, go to the door of the room, Or sitting on the “super-cool” bath is already able to hunt clouds. Yes, sitting at home can still hunt clouds ☁️☁️
?? The way is also quite easy to find. Up the pass about 2km, opposite the direction to turn to Tuyen Lam lake road, there will be a small path leading down (alley 63 Prenn pass, the same alley with ‘Waiting for one’ coffee). Walk about 500m to the alley leading to the shop located on the right hand side (same street with the cafe ‘Waiting for one’). Turning in people will see the sign “Rainforest”.
?? Eating and drinking, we choose a few places around the foot of the pass such as Tao Ngo’s chicken hotpot, Soy milk, yogurt and cheese… and on days when we crave steam, we run down another 3-4km from the pass to go to the market. eating grilled rice paper, Can cake…..
?? Vehicles: If you take a car from Saigon, it seems that Phuong Trang and Thanh Buoi bus companies do not have a shuttle bus there. Or you take a taxi up, the price is about 100k VND, there is also a motorbike rental for 120-150k VND/day depending on the type of motorbike. Or you can rent a motorbike first and then run up the pass for convenience, and then return the motorbike at the bus station.
?? Price: We booked in a hurry that time, so the price was a bit high. Ban Mai 1 bed room for 3 boys is priced at 1.5 mil VND, while the Dawn room for 4 girls is priced at 1,650 mil VND. But the experience brought is so great, worth to visit again.
