Nigerian winger Samuel Chuwkuweze has earned the praise of Villarreal manager Quique Setién ahead of Barcelona’s visit in La Liga.
The Yellow Submarines are not in great shape as they get set to host in-form Barcelona today in the league but Chukwueze’s Villarreal coach is banking on the Nigerian against the league leaders.
” Potentially, all three (Chukwueze, Baena and Pink) have extraordinary qualities, ” Setién is quoted by COMMUNATE.
” They are very valid and capable of doing many things. There are top-level footballers who make a mistake once in every ten games.
” What remains for our footballers is to make good decisions. They know Football.”
A former Barcelona Coach, Setién will hope his Villarreal charges recover their best form against the Catalan side who have won 10 of their last 11 La Liga games.
Samuel Chukwueze is one player who will bank on his decent record against Barcelona. The 24-year old has scored three times in his eight games vs Barcelona.
This season, the 2013 U-17 World Cup winner has enjoyed game-time at Villarreal and has weighed in eight goals and seven assists across all competitions to date.
Despite defeat in their last two league games, Chukwueze and his teammates are no less dangerous coming into today’s game vs Barcelona .
Setién will relish the opportunity of getting some payback against his former team Barcelona.
The front three of Samuel Chukwueze, Yéremi Pino and Gerard Moreno has been unplayable at times, especially on the counter and will cause problems for the visitors.
Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez will be wary of Chukwueze’s massive threat on the counter and how well his team fares against Villareal’s quick forwards will be key in La Liga’s late-kickoff (9pm) on Sunday Febuary 12, 2023.
