Albanese ‘ignored’ questions on risks from relaxing Operation Sovereign Borders

Shadow Immigration Minister Dan Tehan says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese “ignored” questions about boat immigration risks by relaxing Operation Sovereign Borders.

“This has put Operation Sovereign Borders at risk – it potentially will start the boats up again, now we might have to wait months to see whether that happens again or not,” Mr Tehan told Sky News host Paul Murray.

“What we’ve seen is a government that came in with regards to transparency and accountability is showing none of it.

“The boats starting again … the Prime Minster would not answer the question, it was put to him twice in Question Time today, and he ignored it on both occasions.”
