Music-makers Skrillex, Fred Again and Four Tet will pop into Madison Square Garden over the weekend.
“NEW YORK,” Skrillex wrote on Twitter. “We throwing a party at Madison Square Garden this Saturday”
Tickets for the last-minute show went on sale Wednesday. This is the first stop at MSG for the three electronic musicians. They performed a series of short-notice shows in London last month. The trio played a surprise show at Brooklyn’s Good Room Tuesday. That gig was announced hours before it began and tickets sold out quickly, according to Brooklyn Vegan.
British performer Fred Again posted “02.15-19 PHM NYC” online last week with no further information.
Skrillex, a 35-year-old Grammy Award winner who has recorded with Justin Bieber, XXXTentacion and Wale, started the year by announcing new music was in the works. Fans can expect collaborations with Missy Elliott, Chief Keef and Yung Lean, music site EDM reported. It’s been nearly a decade since his last album was released.
After announcing the MSG show, Skrillex posted a photo of the trio in New York City.
“No matter how big or small the events are there may be no better feeling than winning with the people you love,” he captioned the picture, featuring Four Tet in a tee-shirt reading “OMG MSG.”
Four Tet will perform three shows at Williamsburg, Brooklyn’s Avant Gardner in May. The next concert on his website is a March 11 gig in Moyston, Australia.
