Frisbee Cult

Undoubtedly one of the most amazing beliefs that can exist. The Frisbee Cult is a pseudo-interpretation of the idea of life after death.

The founder of the movement, the American comedian George Carlin, described the concept of this belief in the following way:

“When a man dies, his soul rises up and is thrown in the shape of a frisbee on some roof where it remains forever.”

Maradona’s Church

Yes, sometimes sports bias can go too far.

The “Maradona Church” is popular in Argentina among football fans who idolize Maradona as the greatest player of all time.

The symbol of the followers of the “Church of Maradona” is D10S, which combines the Spanish word for God and the number of the Argentinian football player’s shirt – 10.

Rastafari

Perhaps there is no person who has not heard of the Rastafari, and mostly because of the legendary reggae artist Bob Marley, and not because of the religion itself.

Rastafari is a religious movement that emerged sometime in the 1930s in Ethiopia. Followers of this teaching believe that the then King Haile Selassie is God incarnate and he will be the one to bring the suffering Africans back home.

Rastafarians believe in living in solitude with nature. They wear their hair braided in so-called Rastis and smoke marijuana, thereby getting closer to their spiritual selves.

Zoroastrianism

Zoroastrianism is one of the most ancient monotheistic religions. It was founded on the territory of today’s Iran somewhere before 3500 years.

It has been one of the world’s religions for a whole millennium. Zoroastrianism has been the official religion of Persia since 600 AD. BC to 600 AD

To date, Zoroastrianism has lost much of its popularity and is professed by about 100,000 people.

Temple of the True Inner Light

The Temple of True Inner Light is a religious faith based in Manhattan.

Its followers believe that psychoactive substances such as dipropyltritamine, cannabis, LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms and the like are the true incarnation of God.

According to them, all world religions were created on the basis of psychoactive substances.

Discordianism

Discordianism, also known as the Religion of Chaos, was originally created as a joke by two young hippie followers – Kerry Thornley and Greg Hill.

Subsequently, Discordianism became popular all over the world, thanks to the American writer Robert Anton Wilson and his Illuminatus! trilogy.

Cult of Prince Philip

You may not believe it, but the natives of the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu some time ago created a cult that worshiped the personality of Prince Philip.

This happened in 1974, when he and his wife – Queen Elizabeth II, visited the country.

Since then, locals have decorated their homes with portraits of the prince.
