Some of the NBA’s best offensive players struggle on the defensive end of the floor. Why is that?
Some would attribute it to an attitude issue. These guys are the focal point of an NBA offense – why should they try on defense?
On the other hand, there are more generous explanations available. Perhaps its about energy allocation.
Both ends of the floor require stamina – some players need to preserve some energy on either end. It could just boil down to a player’s natural gifts, too.
Who can say which of these explanations applies to Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves? Either way, this is one of the best offensive players in the NBA – and a poor defender.
Could the Wolves send him to the Brooklyn Nets this summer?
