At the invitation of Mr. Prum Suonpraseth, Executive Director of the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC), Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn today visited ARMAC in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Dr. Kao was welcomed by the Executive Director, who then gave a briefing on the work of ARMAC and a tour around the facility. Dr. Kao expressed his appreciation to the ARMAC for their efforts in raising awareness on the dangers of explosive remnant of war (ERW) in the region, sharing knowledge and best practices, as well as facilitating medical and rehabilitation assistance to victims of ERW.
