The Perth Heat’s season is about to kick up a gear.
One of WA’s most successful sporting franchises is about to enter a new era through a groundbreaking partnership with community sport streaming platform Streamer.
The Heat will broadcast all of this season’s home fixtures live, free and on demand via the innovative platform, which has seen tremendous growth since launching last year.
All matches will be produced by leading local company Showscreens, starting with Saturday’s double-header against the Sydney Blue Sox and continuing through to the end of the 2023-24 regular season.
Perth Heat chief executive Brett Patten said the franchise wanted to offer its fans an unparalleled way to connect with and celebrate the achievements of WA’s premier baseball team.
“We are thrilled to partner with Seven West Media and Streamer to bring our home series matches to fans in a way that has never been done before,” he said.
“This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to providing the best possible experience for our supporters.”
The Heat are the most successful team in Australian Baseball League history, winning 15 Claxton Shields. However recent seasons have been marred by heartbreak. The Heat have made the championship series in three of the past four seasons without tasting the ultimate success.
They head into this weekend’s round four series with a 4-7 record and work to do after being smashed by extreme weather early in the season.
Streamer operations manager Nick Rynne said the partnership aimed to make the Heat more accessible than ever to the WA sporting public.
“The Perth Heat have been representing WA with distinction on the national stage for decades, and Streamer is over the moon to be on board, helping them continue their legacy of success,” he said.

Streamer — owned by The West Australian and Seven West Media — is the new home of community sport in Australia and showcases everything from amateur karate to State tennis and even the WAFL colts.
Unlike other similar platforms, Streamer puts the power in the hands of its leagues, clubs and players to create profiles, extend their reach and do everything from fundraising to sharing their highlight clips from games on social media.
