Three men have been arrested for the murder of a Sandton businessman, who was shot in a hit-style attack in Morningside, Sandton, on Thursday.
The man was leaving his home on Coleraine Drive when he was ambushed.
Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said on Friday that a team of detectives, led by the provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit, with the assistance of private security firms, tracked the men down.
It is understood that police traced the getaway car the three men used, which was seen driving away from the scene of the shooting.
Nevhuhulwi said one of the men had a firearm which would be subjected to ballistics testing.
