Berlin (d.de) – In connection with its resolutions on the 2024 federal budget, the Federal Government has decided to continue the Climate and Transformation Fund (KTF). The KTF is the Federal Government’s central instrument in supporting Germany’s transformation to a sustainable society. 49 billion euros will be available for this purpose in 2024: these funds will be used to promote the expansion of the hydrogen economy, microelectronics and electromobility. Citizens receive direct support for their energy costs and the energy-efficient refurbishment of buildings or changing over to climate-friendly heating systems. A total of around 1.45 billion euros is going into the central programmes dedicated to regional and natural climate action. The fund is due for approval by the Bundestag in mid-January.
