A recent Newspoll reveals support for the Albanese government among key states and age demographics has slumped.
The Newspoll conducted for The Australian showed Labor’s primary vote in New South Wales has tumbled with 37 per cent of participants saying they would vote for the Coalition if a federal election was held today.
Nationals Leader David Littleproud said the recent polling shows that Australians are now in “buyer’s remorse”.
“All he’s [Anthony Albanese] managed to do in just over 18 months is drive up everyone’s cost of living and divided our country,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Australia.
The research by Pyxis Polling & Insights polled 3655 voters across Australia online from October to December.
