The Liberals have pre-selected a candidate for the upcoming by-election in the seat of Dunkley.
Sky News Understands Frankston mayor Nathan Conroy has been pre-selected as the Liberal candidate for Dunkley.
It is understood Mr Conroy beat out former Local state MP Donna Hope and local state parliamentary candidate Kate Buchanan.
This comes after the Labor Party pre-selected Jodie Belyea as their candidate for this by-election.
The Dunkley by-election was prompted by the death of long-time MP for Dunkley, Peta Murphy.
